Aix-Marseille School of Economics (AMSE) is very proud to announce that the 2026 Carine Nourry Thesis Prize has been awarded to Tanguy Le Fur (University of Lille, CNRS, IESEG School of Management).
His award-winning article, titled "Fighting for Resources: A Unified Growth Model of the Great Divergence", was published in the Journal of Economic Growth and co-authored with Etienne Wasmer.

The award ceremony took place this Monday, May 11, in the presence of Alain Venditti (AMSE Director) and Thomas Seegmuller (AMSE Deputy Director). The laureate received a €3,000 grant awarded by a jury of researchers from Aix-Marseille University, CNRS, and other prestigious academic institutions: Stefano Bosi, Karine Constant, Marion Davin, Frédéric Deroïan, Alain Desdoigts, Manon Domingues Dos Santos, Charles Figuières, Karine Gente, Thomas Seegmuller, Emmanuelle Taugourdeau, Alain Venditti, and Roberta Ziparo.

✨ This prize pays tribute to Carine Nourry, Professor at Aix-Marseille University and the first Director of the AMSE School, who passed away on June 7, 2019. It aims to reward excellence and originality in economic research.
