DESCRIPTION:We design an online platform to connect unemployed job seekers 
 with `buddies'--former job seekers who recently found employment. We focus 
 on job seekers who search in occupations with poor prospects and buddies wh
 o successfully switched occupation. The platform allows job seekers and bud
 dies to connect and chat. In a randomized controlled trial\, we evaluate th
 e impact of access to the platform on labor market outcomes. We find sizabl
 e effects. Twelve to 18 months after getting access to the platform\, initi
 ally unemployed job seekers in the treatment group had a 6 percentage point
 s (11\\%) higher chance of being employed than those in the control group. 
 Cumulative over the 18-month period the treatment group earned 2185 EUR (11
 \\%) more. The positive impact is concentrated among the long-term unemploy
