COVID - Rules applicable to people coming from countries identified as circulation areas

  • AMU/FEG

We have received, from the Prime Minister, instruction n°6204/SG concerning external borders and rules applicable to people coming from countries identified as circulation areas for SARS-CoV-2 infection and bring it to your attention. This concerns international students as well as researchers and scientists hosted in research laboratories or educational establishments, applicants for long or short stay visas, for study or internship purposes, visas for travel for study and teaching purposes as well as long stay "Talent passport" visas.
The circular is available here. Depending on the country of origin, the procedures are different.

If you come from a country in the green zone (zone verte en Français) (listed here), students or researchers can enter France without restriction.

If you come from a country in the red zone (zone rouge en français), students or researchers, in order to enter French territory, must carry, in addition to their consular documents:

  • a certificate of derogatory international travel
  • a sworn statement of absence of symptoms of covid-19 infection and of contact with a confirmed case of covid-19 within 14 days prior to departure
The models are available here and are regularly updated by the Ministry of Interior
  • a contact form indicating the place of residence in France

Depending on the country of origin, there are also different health measures, such as the need to provide a negative PCR test within 72 hours and, in its absence, the need to carry out a voluntary quarantine on arrival.
A summary of the procedures required for countries in the red zone is available here.

Please note that the list of countries and procedures is subject to change. An update is planned every 15 days. This information is available and will also be updated on the DRI website of our university and the FAQs International from the link here. Please check it regularly.
